Assistant Professorship in Organization Theory, Organizational Behavior, Organization Design and HRM
The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Bergamo, Italy, is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor (ricercatore – professore aggregato) in the area Business Organization (Italian: SECS-P/10 Organizzazione aziendale ) that encompasses the fields of organization theory, organizational behaviour, organization design and HRM.
Non Italian-speaking applicants will be requested to teach in our English programs at undergraduate, master and/or PhD levels. The mandatory teaching load is of 40 academic hours a year, corresponding to one course a year. Opportunities for additional teaching are available and are compensate in addition to the basic remuneration.
Bergamo University has been ranked fourth in the last evaluation by the Italian Ministry of Research and Education. Located in the earth of Northern Italy (50 km north east of Milan) Bergamo is a vibrant economic environment. The Department of Business Administration has close links with organizations of the region and also at national and international levels offering opportunities for action research and management education.
Within the Department of Business Administration research topics associated to the Area of Business Organization, to which this advertised position will be associated, are: transnational institutionalism, market categorization, institutional entrepreneurship, cross-cultural management, institutional logics, organizational ecology, managerial behaviour, identification and identity, context-sensitive organization design and HRM.
In accordance with the 2009 Italian University Law (D.M. 89/2009) candidates with a positive publication track record in international journals (preferably with impact factor ISI) will have higher chances. The selection procedure is regulated and organized by the Italian Ministry of Research and Education.
